Covid-19 Protocols
On June 11, 2022 the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and our local public health units announced that clients and health care providers are no longer required to wear a masks during treatments.
Clients who wish to continue wearing a mask can simply bring and wear a mask – either for the entirety of the session, or any part of it. Although RMTs are also no longer required to wear masks, I will continue to use them with all clients who are also doing so, and for any and all unmasked clients who communicate their preference that I wear a mask while treating.
Before attending your massage appointment please ensure that you have no COVID-19 or current cold/flu symptoms. RMTs cannot provide treatment to anyone with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 until those symptoms have subsided, OR to anyone who is supposed to be self-isolating at the time of their scheduled appointment. Please reach out or go online to reschedule to a later date if this applies to you.
When a circumstance suggests a cause for concern, I may complete a risk assessment before treating and, in some cases, may increase my level of personal protective equipment and require that high-risk clients wear a mask during treatment as well.
The following protocols remain in effect:
- In accordance with public health recommendations and guidelines I have been fully vaccinated and boosted with the Covid-19 vaccine.
- My treatment room is well ventilated and climate controlled. Air purification units are also in operation during appointment times.
- There will be no charge for last minute cancellations if you are feeling ill or unwell.
I very much appreciate my client’s ongoing loyalty and patience as we work through this transition period together. I am confident that with open communication we will continue to manage the ever-changing environment of providing safe healthcare services. If you have any questions or concerns I encourage you to reach out to me as early as possible so that we may discuss your visit. I remain committed to your health and safety and look forward to seeing you soon.
